Hundreds of Years of Imagery

The Watson Image Archive is anchored by the Watson Family Photographic Archive but also includes the private memorabilia collection of Delmar Watson as well as the photo libraries of several important west coast based photojournalists.

A museum quality collection of vintage new gathering technology from the first portable still cameras through the dawn of television news is also held by the Archive.

The vintage photography spans important international events and everyday local news and publicity stunts. The Watson Image Archive has been used by motion picture production companies, book and magazine publishers, and historians all seeking to visualize the daily life of the 20th century.
